„ … Ursula Bossard zeichnet Figuren, malt Menschen, immer und immer wieder. Sie kann dieses Sujet nicht verlassen. Wenn sie sich eine ungegenständliche Komposition denkt, so ist am Schluss trotzdem, mehr oder weniger deutlich, oft nur schemenhaft, wieder eine Gestalt auf dem Bild. Fast jede Figur hat ihre Vorgängerin und Vorstufe, unter der Farbhülle zeichnen sich die Umrisse früherer, übermalter Gestalten ab. Die Künstlerin liebt es, schon einmal bearbeitete Blätter, Kartons oder Hartfaserplatten hervorzunehmen, erneut zu grundieren, mit neuen Inhalten zu füllen …“
